About Us

Tō mātou KAUPAPA

Song Conversations supports the personal journey of aspiring and professional songwriters. We also invite you to experience songwriting as a creative outlet to foster personal growth, self-reflection and wellbeing.

“Kiri and Stephen are two of the most supportive and caring people you could possibly want to be around in a creative setting. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience between them in fostering the artistic process and developing strong artistry. Two of the most special people I have ever known xx”
Anna Loveys, Sony Music NZ

Stephen and Kiri are supportive, easy to communicate with, and we have so much respect for them as creatives, musicians, and innovative leaders.”
Songwriters – Charles and Emily Looker, ARO

“Kiri’s work at the University of Auckland School of Music’s Popular Music Degree has given the NZ music industry some of its most exciting and talented practitioners, not just through performance and artistry but into the business itself. Without her work, we wouldn’t have seen the likes of Balu Brigada, Navvy, or Openside in front of the mic and a host of producers, publicists, playlist curators, and other industry members behind it.”
Jeff Newton, Music Promoter, NZ On Air

OUR LAST PROJECT : Audience Song

Audience Song strengthens the connection between songwriters and their audience.
We invite you to join the project, submit your story, and inspire a song.  A collective of eight songwriters will compose songs inspired by stories that speak of overcoming the challenges and adversities in our fast-changing world.

OTHER Projects

Song Conversations was founded in February 2019 with initial projects cultivating creativity and connection between individuals and communities.
